Camera Obscura Day
Every year the Photography 1&2 students take a few days out of our regular schedule to turn our classroom into a giant camera obscura. In short, the camera obscura is the camera's oldest relative, its a "dark room" with only one hole to allow light in, and it doesn't contain film. We blocked out all of the windows in the classroom, and cut one hole to allow light in from the back of the building (Senior Parking Lot and Football Field). The results (to be posted below) are images projected upside-down of the field, cars, and even houses along Stewart Avenue. These photos were taken using a digital camera pointed at the wall opposite the opening in the window... its a camera photographing inside a camera obscura!
